Confirmed. A friend of mine recently installed 8.10 and wanted to burn some video files to DVD or VCD. Using Brasero he was able to load the videos and click the "Burn..." button on the main windows. A dialog popped up with some options about NTSC, PAL, and aspect ratio. The "Burn" button on that screen never becomes enabled. He tried all the options in that window, and nothing succeeded in enabling that button.

I've not reproduced his problem on my 8.10 laptop and I can't figure out how to get that Burn button to be enabled. What is required to get brasero to burn a DVD or VCD?

So this problem still exists. I have tested it with Jaunty Alpha6+.
The problem is, that I don't get any error message, so I don't know where the problem is.
It would be great if this bug could be fixed in Jaunty.
