2009-02-19 18:56:47 | Pedro Villavicencio | brasero: statusexplanation | linking the upstream report in the meantime. | comment from upstream: "Since brasero inclusion in GNOME, things have changed; Brasero now supports all you describe above but not through desktop files but through other applications (totem for video, nautilus for data, audio with banshee and hopefully one day with rhythmbox provided the pending patch is accepted, ...); there are other applications like gthumb, f-spot, eog maybe that could benefit from an integration with brasero (I need to work on that during next developement cycle). There remain only one desktop file for brasero itself and all more advanced operations it provides. So since the plans for the future is to expose more of brasero's features through other applications (which is more or less the above proposition), I think this bug has become obsolete. Thanks for the propositions though. It indeed made sense (and still does) to "split" brasero's functionalities and expose them differently, not in a single window. I just don't think more desktop files is the solution. " | |
