For anyone following along at home, a bit of cross-posting here, but I did some reading at the linked-to Gnome bugs:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=556449 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=557561
Both of these bugs mention symptoms I am seeing -- Brasero is incorrectly reporting a disc's size as zero, and then refusing to burn it.
One thing I notice in the latter of those two bugs -- this seems like it has possibly been fixed (?) in a later version (Brasero > 0.8.2).
What is the Ubuntu process for getting this program updated?
I'd be happy to chip in to help.
