According to the Debian bug report,

boost 1.49.0-4, which was published in Saucy on 2013-06-04 lists a resolution to this issue as a part of the change log. This was copied over from Debian Sid, and pushed to Saucy well before the first beta freeze. See here for the aforementioned information: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/boost1.49/1.49.0-4

Ah, sorry I overlooked Raring and Quantal. Raring uses 1.49.0.3.2ubuntu1, and Quantal uses 1.49.0.3.1ubuntu1. So the issue is still present there. There shouldn't be any pushback however to getting 1.49.0-4 published in Raring and Quantal as well.
