Bug Description

On Ubuntu 8.04, the packages for the boost libraries asio and system are apparently missing in APT.

There are two available for asio: libasio-dev and libasio-doc
But these are only headers and documentation, no libraries.

Asio and system were released in Boost 1.35 - Ubuntu only includes boost 1.34.1 so they're not present.

libasio-dev is the version of asio released independently of boost. It is header only so no libraries are required.

Hope that helps.

Are there any plans on when to move to boost 1.35?

So can we mark this bug now as fixed (ok not in Hardy, but in future versions)?

I guess so, it wasn't really a bug in the first place.
