Bug Description

Binary package hint: libboost-wave-dev

When compiling code which included <boost/wave.hpp>, I had the following error:

In file included from /usr/include/boost/multi_index/detail/node_type.hpp:23,
                 from /usr/include/boost/multi_index/detail/index_base.hpp:21,
                 from /usr/include/boost/multi_index/detail/base_type.hpp:21,
                 from /usr/include/boost/multi_index_container.hpp:32,
                 from /usr/include/boost/wave/util/cpp_include_paths.hpp:21,
                 from /usr/include/boost/wave/cpp_context.hpp:32,
                 from /usr/include/boost/wave.hpp:19,
                 from spiritpart.cpp:1:
/usr/include/boost/multi_index/detail/index_node_base.hpp:22:42: error: boost/serialization/access.hpp: No such file or directory

I was able to resolve this by installing the package libboost-serialization-dev.

The libboost-wave-dev package should list libboost-serialization-dev as a dependency.

Try:
apt-get install libboost-dev=1.34.1-2ubuntu1

It appears there are two libboost-dev's around, 1.34.1-2ubuntu1 and 1.34.1-2ubuntu1.1, and the sub-packages need the first one.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10?
