memory usage

as shown in the screenshot boinc uses way to much memory, spawning threads even if they won't have memory available to run.

memory in machine: 3GB
in preferences: use at most 15% memory when computer is in use/idle, do not leave applications in memory while suspended.

this is a quad core core 2 duo, dell t3400

What version of Ubuntu/boinc are you using currently?
