Bug Description

Binary package hint: bochs

Using a one-line bochs config file:
floppya: 1_44=floppy.img, status=inserted

results in the error
00000000000p[MEM0 ] >>PANIC<< ROM: couldn't open ROM image file '/usr/share/bochs/VGABIOS-lgpl-latest'.

This file does not exist, but I've worked around this by manually adding the following to my bochs config file:
vgaromimage: /usr/share/vgabios/vgabios.bin

The bug description applies to bochs 2.3-2 running on kubuntu feisty.

I encountered the same problem. Thank you for identifying the true location as a workaround.

I can confirm this bug in bochs 2.3.6-2ubuntu1 under Ubuntu 8.04 and that the workaround suggested by the original reporter fixes it.
