I had the very same problem.

Logitech Bluetooth Laser Travel Mouse
Notebook Samsung RF711
Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit on Unity

I solved this entering the BIOS and disabling the touchpad. After I restarted the notebook I removed the mouse from the list of registered bluetooth devices (obviously I had previously registered it, to use it), I registered it again and now it works perfectly.

I did this because somewhere in Launchpad I read that could be caused by a shared IRQ...

Feel free to contact me if you need more info to solve the bug without this workaround.

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report against it and we will take it from there.
