bluetooth doesnt pick up devices on ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04 on ux31e

3) bluetooth recognize new bluetooth devices (mouse, headset mw600)
4) when it is looking for a new devices,.... then system never find it.

I found a solution at http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.kernel/18801.

1. Download kernel source from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/3.2.0-7.13,
2. Patch this kernel with patch on http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.bluez.kernel/18801.
3. Compile kernel following the instructions at http://blog.avirtualhome.com/2011/10/28/how-to-compile-a-new-ubuntu-11-10-oneiric-kernel/

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report against it and we will take it from there.
