Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez

Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10

Bluetooth was working fine in maverick until today's update, 20100906.

The panel widget, previously fine, is now absent.
bluetoothd is running

When I try to run /usr/bin/bluetooth-properties, the app appears in the panel as starting, but then disappears after aa few seconds. During this it adds the following to ~//usr/bin/bluetooth-properties

** (bluetooth-properties:3328): WARNING **: Could not open RFKILL control device, please verify your installation
GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.Bluetooth' is not installed
  aborting...

Possibly related to change here:

  http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/packages/show/214599

which added build-depends on libgconf2-dev. Possible further dep issues, since this is a dev package.
