Bug Description

I have a bluetooth keyboard that I use regularly with other devices. The keyboard is Jelly Comb Case with Italian Keyboard for Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 10.4 ", Removable Backlit Keyboard in 7 Colors, Italian QWERTY for Sam If I try to use it with Ubuntu it only works with the LIVE version. When I install Ubuntu it stops working, after updates.
I have tried with various Ubuntu Mate and also the impish version of Ubuntu Mate but, using the same notebook, the computer cannot use it (LIVE yes, installed no).

I also tried with Ubuntu 20.04.03 but only with the live. The result is that the peripherals work without problems. I have not had the opportunity to test with the operating system installed on a mass storage.
The BT device on my notebook is:
lsusb
....
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 13d3: 3362 IMC Networks Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter.

I have installed UBUNTU 20.04.3 on an HD. The device is functioning correctly, with all updates installed.

I have installed Impish Ubuntu and the problem does not occur. Obviously it's about the MATE version, I hope you can solve it. Thanks.

I downloaded the Impish Mate version of 09-25-2021 and I made a fresh installation. I also proceeded to update (it only updated Firefox because I believe all other updates were included).
Unfortunately the indicated problem has not been solved. I also tried with the updated Ubuntu Mate 20.04 LTS but it still doesn't work. I also used another Bluetooth adapter on another PC but the result is the same. Hello.

If it works in Ubuntu 20.04.3 as you say, and only fails in MATE, then we probably shouldn't assign this to the common package where it's working already.

Changed in bluez (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
summary: - Problem with bluetooth keyboard: not usable
+ Problem with bluetooth keyboard: not usable in MATE
