Bug Description

My Prolink PMO624B Bluetooth Mouse movement is laggy/sluggish/erratic in Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 on a Asus EeePC 1215B. However, it works completely normal in Windows 7 on the same machine, so I believe that the issue is with Linux/BlueZ. Please advise?

Update: Bluetooth Mouse in Ubuntu 12.10 as of 6 January 2013 still LAGS most of the time. This is a Linux issue because Windows 7 does not face such a problem.

+bcygan - Thanks for your note and no, it is NOT a duplicate of bug #1072234. I did read somewhere that the entire Linux community is basically dependent on Bluez and helpless against Bluetooth problems such as this, because Bluez is a badly documented stack; moreover, the developer(s) might have abandoned the project, leaving us with NO alternative. No?

After 13.04 is out, the Bluetooth mouse issue still affects me and others. Is there a Bluetooth dev in Canonical or the FOSS community who knows? Does the Bluetooth SIG group have any Linux dev who may look into why Bluetooth mouse fails to work properly in Ubuntu? Does this problem exist on other distros?

I found that my issue was actually caused by interference. The dongle was too close to my cell phone, moving the dongle closer to the mouse and farther from the cell phone, actually solved all jitter issues for me.

I have this bug also on 14.04 LTS.

As I am working on a laptop, I cannot move the bluetooth receiver :(
