Bluetooth keyboard and mouse connects, but is not functional - Motorola KZ500

Followed the steps on this thread to get the keyboard to pair, but even though hci-dump shows keypresses, no keypresses or mouse movement get passed to any shell (graphical or terminals).

If any dev in Austin wants to borrow my keyboard, or wants to meet up to help sort this out let me know. Otherwise I'll be taking a stab at fixing it once I find some time.

I can confirm that this bug isn't Ubuntu-specific, it also affects Debian and SteamOS.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.
