Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez-utils

In order to search for Bluetooth devices from the GUI one needs to first run this command:

sudo hciconfig hci0 inqmode 0

Only then do the GUI applications detect discoverable Bluetooth devices.

GUI applications: nautilus-sendto, gnome-phone-manager, gnome-obex-send. These get fixed if you issue the above command, so this needs to be set in stone in the configuration from the get-go.

Actually someone needs to finally fix these UI components. The Linux kernel and the D-Bus API for Bluetooth work perfectly fine with higher inquiry modes.
