Bug Description

I started Ubuntu upgrade with update manager and clicking upgrade to new distribution. Everything went fine until package install process. At this point my screen saver blanked the screen so I didn't know what was happening. Next I tried to stop screen saver with mouse clicks. Nothing happened. I took my old USB mouse and put that to machine. Screen came back. Upgrader was asking would I want to override my ntp.conf file. I clicked ok. Next step was now you should reboot. I clicked reboot. After reboot everything was in normal stage. BT keyboard and mouse worked correctly.

Computer: Dell Optiplex 745
BT mouse and keyboard: Dell with BT dongle.

Still present in 7.10->8.04 upgrade. No way to complete upgrade with BT mouse and BT keyboard.

It's too late to fix these problems now even for the 8.04 -> 8.10 migration. When 9.04 development is underway, can you try to upgrade earlier and see if you have problem with that too? If this is done sooner which there is still time to fix it, it would be beneficial.

Open a new bug against the "bluez" package if there are troubles from 8.10->9.04.
