Bug Description

New changes from Debian require merging into Ubuntu.

Some, if not all, of this work has been done automatically;
however the changes should be reviewed before signing and
uploading.

The new source package, along with various patches to aid
your review are available at:

The new version contains mostly changes for the new dbus api, but because
HAVE_DBUS_MESSAGE_ITER_GET_BASIC is not tested anywhere it won't work (because
of not used #ifdef HAVE_DBUS_MESSAGE_ITER_GET_BASIC) with our version of dbus
(we have different fixes for the new dbus already in).
