I forgot to add, as Jaap said, backend is currently only available in upstream gvfs trunk, but should be included in the next snapshot release.

why did you attach this change? i've a gvfs svn snapshot but current code has some issue which should be fixed before upload, no need to attach patches about build-depends changes whoever does the update manages to handle that usually

Someone needs to test the new obex backend before dropping the patch that disabled 'Browse Device...' ion last upload. Also if the new backend works properly then dependency on gnome-vfs-obexftp can be dropped from bluez-gnome.

Here's a debdiff to drop 03_disable_browse_menu.patch and gnome-vfs-obexftp dependency. For someone who is sponsoring this request, would it be possible to fix bug #196319 as well? Current bluez-gnome package is now a native package even though version numbering suggests otherwise.
