Bug Description

Hi,

I am using/testing the new LTS-alpha

Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04

since a few days every boot a error occures which wants to be reportet. Something like "blueman-applet crashed".
Because this Bug #437883 is reported, I first only signed as "also affect to me"

Now I tried to use a Bluetooth-USB-Dongle which did not work and put me to this (other) request, to do a bug-report.

Hope this report is helpfull to you and my worse English did no problems.

Thanks for Your great Job!

This also happened to me. While trying out my bluetooth adapter on Lubuntu for the first time, I received the “blueman-assistant crashed with AttributeError..." message. The error was thrown right after sending a random pairing key to my phone. I was able to pair my phone via serial port after sumitting the crash report, and everything appeared fine. However, blueman kept crashing and I eventually disabled the bluetooth and restarted my computer. Once I booted up again, I tried to pair the phone again. Same as before, blueman threw up the error upon submitting the pairing key. I got the phone paired and tried to browse the phone, but there were no files visible, only folders. Then Lubuntu froze to the point that only my mouse worked. I ended up having to restart my computer again. I tried to view the bug this one is supposedly a duplicate of, but it seems to be gone. Maybe someone can change the status of this one and mark it not a duplicate?

I searched a bit on launchpad about this bug and there are quite a few duplicate bugs listed: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627184, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/719724, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/767499, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/840642, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/867792 and this one. However, the since the original bug is listed as private, we are unable to view any information or troubleshoot further. Can someone address this?
