Bug Description

Binary package hint: blueman

By default the blueman file sharing tool exposes the user's home directory, and accepts files to the user's home directory. As this directory may contain private information. blueman should instead default to XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR, which is more likely to only contain information the user has determined acceptable to share with others.

emmet, isnt there a standard gnome way to setups folder sharing? the XDG variable seems like a rather static approach and I would hope that we can find a more dynamic solution that doesn't just expose the full $HOME

I propose to create a $HOME/Bluetooth after running blueman for the first time. Any opinions?

lets please use a XDG directory. coming up with a new standard directory does not sound like the right way to go.
