Originally, I deleted windows from dual boot, and went further to delete that partition from gparted. All to my horror when trying to re-install Ubuntu

Bug Description
In my summary I tried in vain to use the windows partition to be part of the Ubuntu Partition as a whole Home folder, but ended up creating bad boot ups, and countless failed re-installation. Thankfully, I did some back ups a few weeks ago, without anticipating that I would face problems re-installing Linux's Ubuntu Mate 17.10.
