Bug Description
Ubuntu 15.10
blueman:
Installed: 2.0-1ubuntu1
Candidate: 2.0-1ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 2.0-1ubuntu1 0

Expected: to be able to connect to paired device without logging into unity first.
When I reboot my machine and log directly into i3 I can't get bluetooth to connect to my headset. It does pair (with bluetooth-wizard), but when I try to connect (with blueman-applet), I get:
Connection Failed: DBusFailedError: No such file or directory
When I try and remove the headset and repair I get:
Connect failed for /org/bluz/
However, when I log into unity first, and use the unity bluetooth applet to connect, it works fine. A couple of things:
* I'm not the only one having this problem: https:/
* It seems that unity (or the applet) does something (creates some directories?) to connect that i3 alone is not
The problem is also outlined here:

I am also not the only one having this problem:

it appears as if the pulsaudio bluetooth discover module isn't loaded when you go straight to i3. this is strange because I've modified the pulseaduio startup scripts (per an askubuntu posting) to make sure that this module is started at pulseaudio start. The solution is to add the following to your .i3/config:
exec pactl load-module module- bluetooth- discover
And then use bluetooth-aplet to pair and connect and pavucontrol to set the audio source to your headset
