unstable bluetooth connection with Apple Magic Trackpad

Sometimes the bluetooth connection to my Apple Magic Trackpad on ubuntu is lost.
And i have to wait some minutes or turn off/on the device.
And the it works again.
So it is very unstable.

I am using precise and have the same issue. Not so much with the apple keyboard though it also happens sometimes.

13.10 Absolutely the same problem. My Apple bluetooth keyboard works much more stable and on much longer ranges than Apple trackpad. Both using Plugable USB bluetooth dongle USB-BT4LE.

Same here on 14.04. I can also verify that it is not a hardware problem. I use a macbook with a pair of apple bluetooth keyboard and apple trackpad at home and the same at work. At both places the keyboard works just fine even at wide ranges and the trackpad (both of them) loses connection every once in a while. If it were a broken trackpad only one of them would be faulty. If it were a problem with the laptop then the keyboards would also be affected. This is definitely a problem with the/a driver.

Have Samsung bluetooth keyboard. Very unstable under linux, work perfectly with windows 10.
