Bug Description
Binary package hint: blender
The window text editor in Blender 2.48a, in Ubuntu Jaunty, doesn't support UTF-8 characters.
If you try write some characters as: á é í ó ú or ñ
you get: ´a ´e ´i ´o ´u or ñ
But if you open a text file with these same characters, you get:
á é à ó ú or ñ

i just confirmed it in blender 2,48a both by synaptic install and by static from blender.org
