Bug Description
Trying to update to the latest Java .... but the install program never ran properly .....
The screen got a vertical line straight down 2/6ths of the way across it with the remnants of the
enter password in part of it ...... seems like a graphics problem again .... this is the latest nvidia 256.53
But it may be related ..... got a crash earlier with it ..... but after a re boot seemed ok ......
Going to try to get the latest JRE from the synaptic repository rather than the JAVA website.

Title: package blcr-dkms 0.8.2-13 failed to install/upgrade: blcr kernel module failed to build
This is using 2.6.35-19-generic ....... and the system is the most unstable I have ever known it .....
Could be related to the Graphics Driver ...... just a guess ..... as before this
I was running 2.6.35-14-generic ...... and everything was working fine ...... not one error or problem ......
I waited until 2.6.35-19-generic to upgrade as I hoped that most of the problems would have been sorted out
to do with the graphics.
For me the stable release was back at 2.6.35-14-generic ...........
