Bug Description

Binary package hint: beryl

i found that I have to run
         LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa beryl
and
         beryl-manager

to make beryl works properly.

Some people told me that is a problem on ATI graphic card who uses fglrx driver.

My spec:
IBM THINKPAD R51e-2xc
ATI x200m graphic card

on Ubuntu 7.04 beta.

Same here. I need to preload this lib to run any 3d accelerated application.
But, in my case, Beryl works for some time, and then it crashes (segmentation fault).

AMD Sempron (32 bit)
Ubuntu 7.04 (Release)
ATI x200m (fglrx 8.36.5)
Xgl (7.2.0.git.20070224-0ubuntu3)

Script:
Xgl :1 -fullscreen -ac -accel xv:pbuffer -accel glx:pbuffer & sleep 2 && export DISPLAY=:1
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa

On AIGLX i have direct rendering
Composite is off

Tried older fglrx drivers (couldn't compile kernel module)
Tried older Xgl (same effect)
Tried to compile Xgl from cvs (glitz compiled, Mesa compiled, Xgl failed, will try again later)

EDIT: I think it's more Xgl's crash, than Beryl's
