Bug Description

in gnome-app-install, under the section "games", the games "beneath a steel sky" and "flight of the amazon queen" are not offered.
ScummVm is offered.
in the scummVm description in gnome-app-install the packages for those two games are mentionned but currently in dapper the only way to install those games is through synaptic or apt-get.
I think those games could show in the list in gnome-app-install and be installable straight from gnome-app-install.

Maybe the fact that they don't appear is because they don't ship a .desktop file in that case that could be a bug of those packages instead?

Reassigned to the games packages. We could add a desktop file to gnome-app-install manually. But fixing this in the game packages would be the better solution.

Assigned to "motugames".

If we get desktop files for this this week we can probably add it to gnome-app-install, otherwise it will have to be dapper+1.

Cheers,

Below is a .desktop file which validates and has everything but the correct Exec line. I'm not familiar with ScummVM so I didn't know what arguments to use - any ideas anyone?

[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Beneath A Steel Sky
GenericName=Game
Comment=A science-fiction adventure game set in a bleak post-apocalyptic vision of the future
Type=Application
Exec=scummvm sky

Also for Flight of the Amazon Queen, again with a non-functioning Exec line:

Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Flight of the Amazon Queen
GenericName=Game
Comment=Embark on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess and in the process, discover the true sinister intentions of a suspiciously located Lederhosen company
Type=Application
Exec=scummvm queen
Icon=flight-of-the-amazon-queen

Thanks a lot for your effort, but I'm afraid this is too late for dapper. But I will add it after this and include a proper exec line. Sorry for that.

OK, I have added the desktop files for both of these. It would be nice if we could come up with some icons. Thanks for your contributions!!

Were you able to test a correct exec line? I'm afraid I didn't get any further.

Yep, seems to work. I stole it from the .menu file ;-) Thanks.

Successfully built in Edgy. Thank you. Especially to Phil for the .desktop files.
