Bug Description
Binary package hint: belpic
I have problems with the use of the be-id middleware provided with my UBUNTU 10.04 install. These packages are installed:
beid-tools (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
beidgui (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libaudio2 (1.9.2-3)
libbeid2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libbeidlibopensc2 (2.6.0-7ubuntu1)
libqt3-mt (3:3.3.
libwxbase2.6-0 (2.6.3.
libwxgtk2.6-0 (2.6.3.
libccid (1.3.11-1)
pcscd (1.5.3-1ubuntu4)
I have uninstalled following packages, as suggested here: http://
brltty
brltty-x11
All this is installed on a fresh and up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 system with an Omnikey 1021 card reader and a Belgian e-ID.
Here is the output of some commands I tried after reading further posts on the ubuntu forums, the README.debian in /usr/share/
wim@wim-desktop:~$ pcsc_scan

Problem is solved by installing new software that can be downloaded from the e-ID website (http:// eid.belgium. be/nl/Hoe_ installeer_ je_de_eID/ Linux/)
Upgrade of packages in Ubuntu Repository is urgently needed, because current version is no longer usable!
