Bug Description

Binary package hint: bf

Like it or not, some people are offended by seeing the word "f**k". For a further discussion, please see http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/15935/

vnix$ apt-cache search f**k
beef - flexible BrainF**k interpreter
bf - a fast Brainf**k interpreter
libacme-brainfck-perl - Embed Brainf**k in your perl code
python-pygments - syntax highlighting package written in Python

I tried some other words I would not like my children to learn, but didn't quickly uncover any more. Others are probably more skilled at finding the necessary words.

Actually the only offending text in libacme-brainfck-perl is "Provides: libacme-brainfuck-perl" so I guess it's fixed already, probably for more or less these reasons.

Changed in libacme-brainfck-perl:
status: New → Invalid

This bug was fixed in the package pygments - 1.0-2ubuntu1

---------------
pygments (1.0-2ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable, remaining changes:
    - Drop Recommends: on python-chardet to a Suggests:; this package is
      not in main and as encoding detection is heuristic anyway this isn't
      something we really want to recommend.
    - Call install with --install-layout=deb.

pygments (1.0-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Add description to the patches
  * Remove brainf*ck from long description (LP: #302898)
  * Upload to unstable

pygments (1.0-1) experimental; urgency=low

  [ Sandro Tosi ]
  * Switch Vcs-Browser field to viewsvn

  [ Piotr Ożarowski ]
  * New upstream release (upload to experimental due to Lenny freeze, to ease
    testing rev. dependencies)
  * Install scripts from external directory as examples (closes: #497532)
  * debian/copyright: list of copyright holders updated

pygments (0.11.1-1) experimental; urgency=low

  * New upstream release (upload to experimental due to Lenny freeze, to ease
    testing rev. dependencies)
  * Standards-Version bumped to 3.8.0:
    + debian/README.source file added
