Bug Description

The current Dapper version of beagle (0.2.3-0ubuntu3) does not seem to index and search on the F-Spot photo database information. I believe this feature was in place in Breezy, and it was quite useful.

This seems like it may be more of an upgrade issue than a problem with the current package. I just removed my .beagle directory and set beagled to re-index everything. The f-spot database seems to be properly searched and referenced now.

to sum it up f-spot is built with an incompatible version of sqlite which prevents it from indexing this data and prevents the user from searching all files after it finishes the initial index. If this is the same bug, please mark this bug a duplicate of that one.

Yes, people still have this problem.
Beagle uses sqlite3, f-spot uses sqlite2.
Beagle cannot read the f-spot database, and no change has been made to facilitate this.

This should detect the right version string to use for loading f-spot's photos.db. Some testing would be appreciated before I upload this

Using the released versions for Dapper, I'm still having this problem. No f-spot data seems to be getting in to beagle.
