Bug Description

Binary package hint: beagle

When trying to start the beagle indexer it crashes soon after starting with the following in the log:

** (/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:27863): WARNING **: Missing method Evolution.CalUtil::FreeGlueCompGLibSList(intptr) in assembly /usr/lib/mono/gac/evolution-sharp/2.0.0.0__457eed85bd9370df/evolution-sharp.dll, referenced in assembly /usr/lib/beagle/Backends/EvolutionBackends.dll

Looks like some incompatibility between the current beagled binary and the evolution API. Does beagled simply need rebuilding with the new evolution libraries?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" <http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html>. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

 We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. <http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures> Thanks!

Strange how you say there wasn't enough information but there was enough to identify it as a duplicate of 128804. I included a full dump of the stack and error, what more could you need? It's obvious that it's an ABI incompatibility.

I am running current gutsy (and in fact I believe it was yesterdays evo* updates that broke this).
