I also get this error attempting to install the hardware drivers for a broadcom wireless card using the hardware drivers icon in system -> administration

I started again with a cable network connection but it still failed. (the driver is supposed to be on the cd)

This was ok in 9.10. I also reported it in one of the alpha or beta builds of 10.04

I have copied & pasted logs from jockey, dpkg & bootstrap. Bootstrap complains about lzma not installed. I also get that when trying to re-install broadcom drivers using the synaptic package manager

heres the log from jockey

On my report it had at the end exit status 3 which is not the same as the others.

This might be initramfs package not installing properly without a live network connection

I did manage to get my wireless network going using dpkg & packages on the CD (see 590341) and the initramfs issue was from broken packages
