Groovy and Hirsute have 6.30.223.271+bdcom-0ubuntu7 version of bcmwl, in which kernel 5.6+ build is fixed. It should be backported to Focal, since Focal has 5.8 kernel now.

Build successful with bcmwl-kernel-source manually downloaded from 20.10 and installed using dpkg. Pop!_OS 20.04, build against both linux-headers-5.8.0-7625-generic and linux-headers-5.4.0-7642-generic.

Btw this package should probably depend on linux-headers, that would simplify control over its compatibility with different kernel versions and this dependency is logical.

Having same issues with wifi after update of Ubuntu 20.04 pushed kernel 5.8. Had to go back to 5.4 kernel to have wifi recognized. Additionally, live usb 20.10 has same issue.
