Bug Description

My laptop is Acer Aspire E5-551G-T0KC.

In Xenial, I have installed the propriety wireless driver from Additional Drivers.
There are no Wi-Fi networks shown in the network indicator, as if the wireless card does not exist.
This is a regression from Trusty.

Here are some terminal outputs that are specific to the wireless card:

1) To see if this is already resolved, could you please test http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ and advise to the results?
2) Would using https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta provide a WORKAROUND?
