Bug Description

Hardware:

% lspci |grep -i BCM
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03)

% dmesg|grep BCM
[ 6.143332] Bluetooth: hci0: BCM: Read verbose config info failed (-16)
[ 1676.017551] wlan0: Broadcom BCM43a0 802.11 Hybrid Wireless Controller 6.30.223.248 (r487574)

I sometimes see weird lockup in the kernel:
 1778.501345] WARNING: CPU: 3 PID: 6455 at /build/linux-jHWiKd/linux-3.13.0/kernel/watchdog.c:24
5 watchdog_overflow_callback+0x9c/0xd0()
[ 1778.501347] Watchdog detected hard LOCKUP on cpu 3

This happens with kernel 3.19 *and* kernel 4.2. Unloading the `wl` module makes the system more stable, so it's def. this module.

I have the same issue with kernel 4.6 (vanilla) & the all 6.3 versions of the bcmwl driver.
The 248 driver paired with the 4.4.8 ubuntu kernel seems to be working fine for now.
