This release has not worked on Ubuntu for some time. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcfg2/+bug/421308. Also, we have already opened a bug report requesting that the latest version of bcfg2 be included in Ubuntu at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcfg2/+bug/561729. It doesn't look like anyone is willing to respond to that bug report. Until Ubuntu fixes those bugs, you can use the PPA at https://launchpad.net/~bcfg2/+archive/ppa to get the latest stable version of Bcfg2.

This would require going through the Stable Release Update process (specifically for Ubuntu 10.10) as detailed here:
