Hi. This problem is because of GCC compiler. Ubuntu 16.04 xenial comes with gcc-4.9 compiler by default which has support for above flag. Problem arises when you manually change gcc compiler to 4.8 version, for example using update-alternatives command.

I can confirm, I forgot to revert my compiler from g++4.8 back to g++5 (default for me), and then got this error.
