Bug Description
Binary package hint: base-passwd
according to a discussion in
https:/
I report, that I and several other users had experienced problems due to a wrong group of the file /etc/shadow by default
$ ls -l /etc/shadow
-rw-r----- 1 root root 1133 2008-10-06 19:32 /etc/shadow
which commonly leads to problems with screenlocking programs. There have been discussed several workarounds with suid-bit, but not the root of the problem, the wrong group of /etc/shadow (which should be shadow, not root).
This must have been intruduced with gutsy (according to https:/
