Bug Description
I used the base-installer in the latest Ubuntu 9.04 Server on the following Configuration:
Thinkpad X21 (p3-700/192MB)
- internal 40GB HDD (sda) with Linux already installed
- USB-attached 32MB CF-Card (sdc)
- USB-attached 1024MB USB Stick (sdf)
I did this "manual partitioning" and deselected the swap partitition from sda as "do not use". Furthermore I created a /boot partition on the CF card (sdc) and a / partition on the USB Stick (sdf). When finishing, the installer warned me that I had no swap defined (that's just fine) and then indicated that changes to the following partition tables were made:
/dev/sda
/dev/sdc
/dev/sdf
But that's actually misleading, since no changes to the partition table of sda are made in this case, marking a swap partition to be used or not only affects the resulting /etc/fstab - but it does not touch the partition table.
