Banshee freezes very often while playing Ipod

I did not have this problem with Ubuntu 11.10, but since installing 12.04, banshee will freeze every time I switch songs or every other song. It returns control after one to two minutes or so, but happens so often that it is becoming unusable as my music player.

I noticed these warnings when running banshee --debug:

That warning seems pretty harmless and unrelated to the issue though. Could you follow the instructions on http://banshee.fm/contribute/file-bugs/ to obtain more information about your issue please?
