Hey there,
I've imported several audio CDs the last days and there were two things that I noticed concerning the ID3 information I entered before importing:
1. Sometimes Banshee wouldn't save the release year and would set it to "1" instead.
2. Whenever I entered the artist of a compilation Banshee wouldn't actually save it.
Especially 2.) would result in a strange sorting of the songs which is how I noticed it.
As far as I remember, both bugs mostly if not always occured together. I can't tell exactly as not all CDs I imported were compilations (hence the "sometimes" in 1.)).
I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 and have Banshee 2.2.1 installed.
Please let me know if you need any further information. |

Hey there,
I've imported several audio CDs the last days and there were two things that I noticed about the imported music's ID3 information I had earlier entered by hand (i.e. before importing):
1. Apparently, sometimes Banshee didn't save the release year (which I definitely put in that dialog field) and set it to "1" instead.
2. Whenever I had entered the artist of a compilation Banshee didn't actually save it.
Especially 2.) would result in a strange sorting of the songs which is how I noticed it.
