Please run "killall -SIGQUIT banshee" when it hangs, and then attach the log
from ~/.config/banshee-1/log to this bug.

Sometimes everything works as it should but most of the times the same thing happens to me. Open banshee and after a few seconds the ui freezes, music continues to play though. I'll attach my log. Started happening after upgrade to Oneiric.

Your bug is Bug #875632, which has been fixed in 2.2.1-1ubuntu1. If you enable
oneiric-proposed as per
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/875632/comments/19, you
should not be seeing that hang any more.

I'll leave this bug open as incomplete for the time being, seeing as the
original bug reporter has not replied yet, and I don't know if he's seeing the
same hang.

Thank you, bug #875632 seems to be my bug as you said, but updating to 2.2.1 from proposed didn't resolve the issue I'm affraid. I'll see if I can look a bit more into it soon.
Thanks again.

Chances are that your debug log would show a crash happening in a different area
now. If so, please file a new bug and attach the said log.
