Another great useful way of reproducing the bug (more similar to duplicate bug #595600, some steps seem to be not important, but anyway it worked for me): 1) get the Banshee installed; 2) have some music albums imported into it (well, I think that 5 albums is more than enough); 3) selected one album in the music library, right-click on it and select "add it to play queue"; 4) double-click on the "play queue" in the left panel; 5) the music should start playing; 6) try to move through the songs in the play queue with "play the previous item" and "play the next item" buttons; 7) try to move within the current song by dragging the slider; 8) well, you don't need to listen all the songs here; just move through the play queue to the song before the last; 9) you can minimize the window and enjoy the music until the music is over; 3) selected another album in the music library, right-click on it and select "add it to play queue"; 4) select any song from the freshly added album in the played queue by single click on it; 4) double-click on the "play queue" in the left panel; 5) get back to the library, select the album you've just added and select any song in it; 6) you can minimize the window and enjoy the music; 7) WHAT?! 2011-11-07 17:10:13 Bob Bib description Affected configurations: Ubuntu 11.04 (amd64) banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu2 Ubuntu 11.10 (i386, amd64) banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 --- Additional info: on amd64 systems my Banshee music library is (was) big enough, last.fm scrobbling is (was) on; but this has nothing to do with Ubuntu 11.10 i386 which I ran in VirtualBox and have reproduced that issue succesfully in it. --- Sometimes, when a number of songs is added from library to "play queue" and playback is started, only the first unplayed song in the queue is played and then playback is stopped; that 1st song (that has just been listened) is not grayed out as listened, but remains black as new in the queue. After double-click on the 1st or the 2nd song (which are not greyed-out as listened) the playback goes well and doesn't stop on the 1st, 2nd or whatever song. Only the first song from the newly-added album is played back and no more! --- Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron:  LANGUAGE=en_US:en  LANG=en_US.UTF-8  SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-12.51-generic 2.6.38.8 Tags: natty Uname: Linux 2.6.38-12-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to natty on 2011-08-09 (82 days ago) UserGroups: adm admin audio cdrom dialout dip fax floppy ftp fuse kvm lpadmin plugdev sambashare tape vboxusers video --- ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) Package: banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron:  PATH=(custom, no user)  LANG=en_US.UTF-8  SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic 3.0.4 Tags: oneiric Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic i686 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare Affected configurations: Ubuntu 11.04 (amd64) banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu2 Ubuntu 11.10 (i386, amd64) banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 --- Additional info: on amd64 systems my Banshee music library is (was) big enough, last.fm scrobbling is (was) on; but this has nothing to do with Ubuntu 11.10 i386 which I ran in VirtualBox and have reproduced that issue succesfully in it. --- Sometimes, when a number of songs is added from library to "play queue" and playback is started, only the first unplayed song in the queue is played and then playback is stopped; that 1st song (that has just been listened) is not grayed out as listened, but remains black as new in the queue.
