Banshee sometimes skips song when rating

Often while rating a song it will skip the song instead of playing it out as expected. Doesn't happen every time. Seems to happen more frequently when I click out of the context menu before it's "ready" (Compiz dims the window on rating), but sometimes it still does it when I wait.

I don't think it's related to 474514, as I don't experience any particular laggyness of the interface itself.

Tanath, do you have either of "Write metadata to files" or "Write ratings and play counts to files" active in Edit | Preferences | General?

Can you try turning that off temporarily, and then see if you can
still reproduce the problem?

It's much improved with it turned off. It still dims the window very briefly, but doesn't seem to be causing skipping now.

Aha. I think I know what's happening. It's probably Banshee's hang-check timer
going off. But in order for that to happen you need a seriously slow filesystem,
I guess.

And since Carey's a btrfs user, I'm sure we know which one that is ;-)
