bjarkih, Please could you check if this issue persists for you with banshee 2.0.0-2ubuntu1 included in Ubuntu Natty? Thank you

Hi, sorry for late answer, wasn't home.

The problem persists, there is no suggestion box when I plug the
player in and when I plug it in with banshee running it start's trying
to connect to the player but nothing happens (see attached pic).

please let me know if there's anything I can do.

running I got this error msg:

I also got this when updating the system

Setting up apport (1.20.1-0ubuntu4) ...

dpkg: error processing apport (--configure):

No apport report written because the error message indicates its a
followup error from a previous failure.

Can you tell me what this is?

Seems like you are facing an issue with a previous upgrade (probably related to apport package) so probably broke something in your system. Please could you try to run a "sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" and check if that solve your problem.

Please next time do not attach that output because is not needed to debug banshee, by the way, seems like your local repository is suffer some issues so I recommend you to use another near mirror and then try again.
