Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

When playing music on Banshee 1.8.0, quite often a song is scrobbled twice to my Last.fm account for a single play. This seems to happen pretty reliably with the last song off each album or playlist, but it also occurs on other occasions that are harder to pin down (possibly when a song has been paused for more than a short period mid-play).

Thanks for the report. Just out of curiosity, does the problem still happen if you turn Gapless Playback off in Edit > Preferences?

I've turned off Gapless Playback and that appears to have resolved the
problem. The other effect it's had is that my Last.fm profile page now
shows the currently-playing track, which wasn't happening before.

I agree this is a duplicate of
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=617620 . Does that mean it
should be closed on here?

Thanks,
