Bug Description
Binary package hint: banshee
Hi,
Upon hearing that Banshee would be the default music player in Natty, I installed it to try it out. However, it seems to be missing more than half of my music collection: whereas Rhythmbox shows 994 songs, Banshee only shows 443 (so it's missing more than a half!) Even when I tell it to import a folder where I know are mp3 files it failed to detect, it still won't find them.
Is this a known bug? Is there something I can do about it?

No, it's not a known bug. Could you provide some samples of the mp3s it has
failed to detect, as well as the output of "banshee --debug" in a terminal when
trying to import these files?
Also, do these files get imported if you select "Import file" and select them
individually rather than scanning a directory?
