banshee syncing breaks ipods

Bug Description

Would be at all possible to make an exception to the UVF to get banshee 0.10.6 into Dapper? The reason I ask is because of this bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328183

Not only does that bug make banshee not work with ipods, but if you try to use the ipod synchronization feature, it will irreversably break your ipod (effectively... the music is still there, but there's no easy way to actually play it or fix the itunesdb on the ipod).

If putting the new version into dapper isn't an option, perhaps you could disable the ipod support?

On the other hand, since only two of us reported this bug to banshee, maybe it doesn't happen to everyone?

Thanks for your consideration.

But I've already asked for a UVF exception for banshee... I'm only waiting, the packages are already ready... sorry

Unless someone finally removes it from NEW... no. NEW processing is rather slow lately...

But you can get the packages from here:
