Bug Description
Binary package hint: banshee
On SUSE Banshee uses Helix for it's playback support. On Ubuntu it uses gstreamer.
Will there be a possibility, in the future, to choose which playback support we want? Much like with totem where you can choose between totem-xine and totem-gstreamer.

No, as Ubuntu uses GStreamer as playback engine, the Helix package in Ubuntu can only play free codecs anyway that GStreamer can play too and Helix only works on x86.
