banshee-extension-streamrecorder hangs banshee on startup

If I install banshee-extension-streamrecorder banshee hangs on startup.
If I uninstall it again banshee starts up fine. The only suspicious lines output by banshee --debug are:

Confirmed. Reproducible in Ubuntu Raring/13.04

Does merely installing this package cause banshee to hang, or must the extension be enabled first? It is not installed by default, but neither is Banshee. If this bug isn't solved, the package should be removed from repositories, it is a serious usability problem. I'll test this later this week.

Has anyone reproduced this on another distribution?

I think this is because we're shipping Banshee with a patch to make it use
Gstreamer1.0, while the Karaoke and StreamRecorder extensions have not been
ported over. Since porting those two extensions ovre to Gstreamer 1.0 is quite
complex, nobody has gotten around to it, and I've disabled the extensions in
saucy.

Once Banshee gets released using the gstreamer-sharp backend instead, we should
be able to re-enable these two packages without issue.

Installing is no problem, enabling it causes banshee to hang a few minutes later.
Banshee will hang again after a few seconds when killed and restarted.
Changing <Addin id="Banshee.Streamrecorder,0.2.2beta" enabled="True" /> to False in /home/ubuntu/.config/banshee-1/addin-db-001/config.xml helps.

http://askubuntu.com/questions/13181/how-do-i-record-internet-radio-stream-from-banshee might suggest that this is caused by Streamrecorder expecting a nonexistent preconfigured path. I do not know how that is stored, though.
